Chauvet Professional’s COLORdash Batten-Hex 8 joins the company’s other linear LED wash fixtures. The fixture features eight 10W “Hex” LEDs — six-color modules including red, green, blue, amber, white and UV diodes on a single chip. The unit measures 23 inches (584 mm) and comes with Neutrik powerCON input/output connectors and 3- and 5-pin DMX in/out for easy power and data daisy-chaining. Up to 11 COLORdash Batten-Hex 8 units can be linked at 120V, and 20 units at 230V.

RALEIGH, NC — Lighting and show designers Jamie Thompson and Bryan Leitch have included Clay Paky’s Sharpy fixtures in the rig lighting British rockers Bastille on their worldwide tour. Thompson and Leitch, directors of production design company MIRRAD, took inspiration from the band’s triangular logo for their lighting looks.

Eight of the nine female performers were injured after falling from a 30-foot height to the floor, the ninth was on the ground when the rigging for the “hair hang” apparatus used for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Legends tour suddenly failed.
