MIAMI — Design Oasis supported a concert featuring Julio Iglesias on Feb. 22 at the American Airlines Arena here, providing 190 PVP S5 panels from Chauvet Professional. The panels, which formed a 31 by 16.4 foot wall, were programmed by Scott Chmielewski of DMD s7udios and reinforced the connection between the artist and his audience.

DUBLIN — OneRepublic’s headlining “Native Tour,” which completed its shows in the U.K. and Ireland on March 24 after spending last year circling the globe, was the first tour to utilize Clay Paky’s A.leda B-EYE K20 LED-based moving lights. A complement of Clay Paky Sharpys was also on hand. Neg Earth supplied the gear for the Colorado Springs, CO-based band.

LONDON — LD Steven Bewley included Clay Paky Sharpys in the rig for a concert at Shepherds Bush Empire featuring The Strypes. The gig was the first professionally lit show of the young band’s career. Bewley is known for his lighting designs for other concerts featuring Dizzee Rascal and Enter Shikari. Neg Earth provided the gear for the band’s U.K. shows, which were followed by gigs in North America in March.

Antari’s Z-1520 RGB uses 22 RGB LEDs to enhance the fog output. The fog machine is the company’s update on its popular Z-1020 fog machine. Users can specify the four-color blend they are looking for via W-2 remote. Colors can also be assigned via DMX mode. LONDON —For the X-Factor Live UK arena tour, a seven-week U.K. jaunt featuring the top eight finalists from the 2013 series performing live, Blackburn-based HSL provided the lighting gear, truss elements and rigging. LD Peter Barnes designed the lighting, and lighting director/on-the-road operator was Jonathan Rouse. The live show was produced by Syco Music with technical production coordinated by Production North.

LONDON — For a concert Feb. 21 at Wembley Arena for Taiwanese alt rockers Mayday, Live Nation turned to XL Video for video production that included a 24 by 5.4 meter high main screen comprised Pixled FX-12 along with 240 tiles of Pixled FX-11 for three additional screens flown on a mid truss, all measuring 8 tiles wide and 10 high. For I-Mag relay, two 16-by-9-foot side screens were rigged left and right of the stage, each fed by a pair of Barco FLM 22K projectors.
