Spectacles in Dubai and Doha Get A&O Support

DUBAI and DOHA – A&O Creative, the creative department of A&O Technology, stayed busy through the end of 2013 planning three spectacular international events that celebrated the arrival of 2014. Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show Gets Hippotizer Assist

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — More than 80,000 fans became animated pixels at the Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show featuring Bruno Mars.  Five outputs from four Hippo HD Genlock machines controlled the wireless audience LED “display” along with visuals seen on 220 LED Ayrton MagicPanel 602s on the stage.  PixMob technology made the audience participation possible, alternatively managed by the lighting desk and Hippotizer control.

Bandit Teams with LED North America, Touts Light, Bright SuperSport Arena Fixtures

NASHVILLE —Bandit Lites has formed a partnership with LED North America and is touting the development of the SuperSport, a 400W, 35,000 lumen output fixture that weighs just over 20 pounds and is “the size of a couple shoe boxes.” The fixture has an efficacy of 89 lm/W and promises energy savings of up to 85 percent. Because SuperSport units are designed to replace traditional fixtures weighing 100 to 150 lbs., the fixtures also promise to significantly increase venue load bearing capacities.

“Pepsi Grammy Halftime Show” Rig Included Chauvet Nexus 4×4 LEDs

LOS ANGELES — The 2+-minute “Pepsi Grammy Half Time Show” commercial, which depicted ex-football stars “returning the favor” by singing and dancing halfway through a celebrity-studded Grammy Awards-style black tie event (modeled on the actual event, which included Beyoncé and Jay-Z, pictured here), was filmed at the LA Sports Arena using a lighting rig from Visions Lighting. A total of 40 Nexus 4×4 high output COB LED panels from Chauvet Professional were included in the lighting rig.
