BROOKLYN, NY — There’s only a judicious amount of character flying in Julie Taymor’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the first production to be staged in the compact but versatile Polonsky Shakespeare Center, which opened here last fall, and, as Taymor wryly noted in an interview in The New York Times, the odds of production snags arising from hastily updated scripts were even less remote. GLASGOW — Top Gear Live made its debut in Scotland with five shows from Jan. 17-19. Based on the British TV show, and featuring presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May along with show character, “The Stig,” the production included a variety of live stunts and challenges.
