NEW YORK — On Jan. 1, Bill de Blasio took over for Michael Bloomberg as Mayor of New York City. As part of the process of welcoming the first new mayor since Bloomberg took over for Rudy Giuliani in 2002, a non-partisan citywide project, “Talking Transition,” invited New Yorkers to share their views about the city’s future. The project was based within a temporary tent-like complex at Hudson Square at Canal and Varick Streets in Manhattan. WorldStage supported the temporary location’s lighting needs.

Loadout Accident After Luke Bryan Show Injures Four

COLUMBUS, OH — A load-out accident following the Jan. 16 Luke Bryan concert at Ohio State University’s Schottenstein Center sent four crew members to the hospital with minor injuries. Reports noted a chain of events involving a forklift, video gear and stage structure elements, with both crew and gear falling in the partial structural collapse.

Don Pugh and Robert Mokry (pictured here, L-R) founded the company in Jan. 2004 as a support center for High End Systems’ legacy products such as Intellabeam and Emulator.
