Elation’s TVL4000 packs 1600 cool and warm white LEDs (800 of each) into a 27-lb. panel measuring 26” x 23.75” x 5.” Users can adjust the color temperature from 2900K to 6000K. The entire fixture draws just 160W at full output while providing 960 lux at 5 meters. The flicker-free fixture has built-in 5-pin and 3-pin connections for DMX control with an LED menu system on the rear for configuration and local control. Adjustable barn doors are included.

Videssence’s Vidnel VN100 LED Fresnel promises to serve as an energy-efficient alternative to traditional tungsten Fresnels. With a 98 CRI and color temperature of 3200K color (5600K optional), the single 100W LED is designed for flicker-free dimming without color shift. A manual slide bar at the side of the fixture focuses the beam and locks in place. The fixture runs without internal fans, and a touchpad allows for programing for DMX control/dimming. The fixtures has a standard six-inch gel frame and barn doors.

Riedel Earns Sports Emmy Award for Red Bull Stratos Broadcast

NEW YORK — Wuppertal, Germany-based Riedel Communications won a Sports Emmy Award in the “Outstanding New Approaches Sports Event Coverage” category for the company’s involvement with the Red Bull Stratos project. Riedel received the honor from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science at the 34th Annual Sports Emmy Awards, held May 7 in New York City.
