Dealing with Loss

STAMFORD, CT – Rosco has formed a joint venture partnership with Boston-based engineering group The Black Tank to design, develop and distribute LED lighting fixtures to the entertainment and architecture markets. Its new, 80,000-sq.ft. Nature Research Center offers labs, research opportunities, interactive exhibits and live presentations designed to make science a tangible and fun experience. Small Design Firm was charged with designing the interactives; Batwin & Robin Productions was the content producer.

Robe Beautifies Rig of Miss Mississippi Pageant

VICKSBURG, MS – LD Andre Huff specified Robe moving lights as core elements of his rig for the 2012 Miss Mississippi Scholarship Pageant at the Vicksburg Convention Center. Lighting equipment was supplied by Knoxville, TN-based TERI Productions. There were many technical challenges involved in transforming a conference center hall into a vibrant setting for the beauty pageant. A complicated system of air conditioning and ducting in the roof added to this in terms of being able to get everything positioned in the correct places.

22 Years Go By with a ‘Blur’ for Entec

LONDON – Entec Sound & Light has worked for Britpop band Blur and their LD Dave Byars since 1990, when the emerging band were a small support group. Their production matured in the 2000s, and Entec has been with them all the way. Entec recently supplied audio and lighting for various elements of Blur’s recent shows, culminating in the band’s gig in London’s Hyde Park coinciding with the Olympic Closing Ceremony.
