LOS ANGELES —Production Resource Group, L.L.C. (PRG) is now shipping the new TruColor HS lighting system for film and television production. The company says the volume of light produced is nearly twice as much output as a 2K soft source with no significant heat, no flicker and no noise. At the heart of TruColor HS fixtures are custom-formulated ChromaLit remote phosphor panels, offering color rendering with a wide range of color temperatures. The TruColor HS can output up to 100 fc at 10 feet, providing 25,000 lumens while consuming less than 450 watts.

Technical Manager Mark Collino oversaw the new lighting install comprised of eight Elektralite my575s and 10 Pancake RGBW LED units. VIENNA – LD Helmut Krammer specified around 135 Robe moving lights and LED fixtures to illuminate the 2012 Summer Night Concert, staged by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at Schönbrunn Palace. The Robe fixtures were used to light key areas of Schönbrunn Palace’s extensive gardens including the main and ballet stages, the Gloriette structure which stands prominently on the hill above the Palace and behind where the stage was located, and the magical Neptunbrunnen Fountains.

NEW YORK – CBS called on WorldStage for video support as Carnegie Hall’s famous stage showcased the latest CBS stars and shows during the annual Upfront sales presentation. WorldStage was charged with expanding display beyond the hero screen to incorporate the architectural elements of Carnegie Hall’s celebrated proscenium stage. The network wanted to paint content across the big canvas of a stage more accustomed to hosting symphony orchestras than upfronts.
