IATSE Restructures Internal Divisions, Adds Division of Education and Training

NEW YORK — IATSE, the stagehands union, has created two new divisions and re-organized another. Along with its new Division of Education and Training, IATSE added a Broadcast Division. IATSE has also moved its Organizing Division into its Stagecraft Division—all of its other divisions had their own organization division, so this move eliminates some redundancies, but ensures each arm of IATSE has a team dedicated to organizing.

VAN NUYS, CA – This is Director of Photography George Mooradian’s second season on TV Land’s “Happily Divorced,” which is based on a true story from Fran Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson’s life. Beginning this season, the DP added a non-traditional multi-camera lighting source: LEDs from Litepanels.

LAS VEGAS — CHAUVET technology is at the core of a custom-built fixture by Morpheus Lights for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Wrecking Ball tour. The Morpheus CP7 IP LED Blinder was designed around the tri-color RGB light engine of the COLORado 1-Tri IP. At only 616-watts, the CP7 efficiently replaces traditional nine-lights with color changers that draw close to 6,000 watts.

KNOXVILLE, TN – Bluegrass artists Alison Krauss and Union Station needed maximum production efficiency in their smaller, more intimate touring venues, so Teri Productions of Knoxville specified LumenRadio wireless control to operate the tour’s lighting system. “Wireless technology means smaller crews, faster load-in/load-out, and cost savings,”  says Teri Productions’ COO Brad White.
