INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Over 111 million viewers tuned into NBC to watch Super Bowl XLVI and the Bridgestone Halftime Show featuring Madonna, LMFAO, M.I.A., Nicki Minaj and Cee Lo Green. The halftime show was lit by Al Gurdon and featured a production design by Bruce Rodgers of Tribe, Inc. The show’s large cast performed Cirque du Soleil influenced-choreography on 43 modular pieces handled by some 500 stagehands, with load-in and load-out (pictured here) taking place in nine and 10 minutes, respectively. NEW YORK – WorldStage Inc. supported the final championship event Dec. 17 for Showtime Sports’ “Super Six World Boxing Classic” at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. “The championship was an enhanced version of a normal boxing match,” says Jim Ferrara, lighting designer/production manager with Frank Gatto Lighting. So WorldStage delivered the additional bells and whistles: a lot more lighting effects, video playback and enhanced audio.
