FRANKFURT, Germany – The ChamSys MagicQ MQ500 Stadium received the Prolight + Sound International Press Award (PIPA) for “Best Product of the Year” in the lighting control category. Based on voting by over 100 journalists from specialized publications, the award was presented on April 6th at the Prolight + Sound show. “This award is a tribute to the ChamSys design ethos,” said ChamSys Managing Director Chris Kennedy. “ChamSys has been built on giving the end-user as much freedom and flexibility as possible, because we respect the creativity that’s inherent in the design process.”

ST. LOUIS – USITT’s Annual Conference & Stage Expo took St. Louis by storm over the span of March 8-11 bringing 5,500 attendees and 307 exhibitors to the city, making this our biggest yet. This is second time St. Louis has hosted the Annual Conference, bringing in an economic impact of $5.88 million, with attendees filling 10 hotels in downtown St. Louis and patronizing local arts venues and dining establishments throughout their stay.

FRANKFURT – PR Lighting enjoyed high visibility at this year’s Frankfurt Prolight+Sound Show — largely due to an inspired product showcase centered around their new AQUA waterproof moving heads. This was promoted heavily at the Show via banners and large posters in heavily populated areas of the concourses and walkways. The AQUA 440 Beam, the waterproof version of the XR440 Beam, takes advantage of the popular new high output Osram 440W discharge lamp to deliver a punchy and parallel 3.1° beam.
FRANKFURT – Trade show success can be measured any number of ways, but by any standard Prolight + Sound 2017 was historic for Elation Professional. Bolstered by a new distribution relationship in Germany with LMP Lichttechnik Vertriebs, as well as the announcement just prior to the show that over 800 Elation lighting fixtures will feature on the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, this year’s Prolight + Sound was truly one to remember for Elation.
PERTH, Australia – The recent refresh of the entire Perth Concert Hall lighting rig (made possible through the State Government’s Department of Culture and the Arts Infrastructure Improvement Program) saw Head of Lighting Alex Spartalis with a lot of decisions to make. The choice to make the PCH home to nine Elation Sixpar 300 RGBAW+UV LED fixtures was not one of the difficult ones. With the whole rig headed to LED, Alex had to audition a huge range of luminaires, and the Sixpar 300s were an easy winner.
