BRISTOL, U.K. — Hundreds of aspiring young engineers and roboticists took part in a science and technology challenge at the University of the West of England in Bristol. The finals of the First Lego League Challenge: Animal Allies were held in the university’s Exhibition and Conference Centre on Feb. 26. Evans Audio Visual Staging teamed up with Utopium to supply sound and lighting to the event, which was part of a global Lego-based robotics contest, and featured tens of thousands of young people.

Lighting Setup for Major Gospel Event in Nigeria Includes Avolites Consoles

LAGOS, Nigeria — For the 11th year, thousands gathered in the Nigerian capital for a gospel and praise event. The most recent of these, “The Experience 11: Revealing Jesus,” drew up to 500,000 to Tafawa Balewa Square for gospel music performances that stretched late into the night. Producers House on the Rock once again turned to Stephen Davies of UK-based Subfrantic Production Services for an assist with the lighting setup, which included Sapphire Touch and Tiger Touch II consoles from Avolites.

DJ Bobo Journeys Through Time with GLP’S GT-1

RUST, Germany – Swiss artist DJ BoBo is celebrating his 25th anniversary on stage by touring the grand new show, Mystorial. From April 2017 it will visit Switzerland, Austria and other parts of Europe, including 24 arenas in Germany, before heading down to South America. But it has already received its world premiere during a two-week opener at the vast Europa-Park amusement park in the town of Rust in southwest Germany, where a new arena has been built specially to host the production.
