Cloning Done Right

Cloning is used to add fixtures to the rig which are supposed to behave the same as an existing fixture or fixtures. This becomes useful when rigs grow or change over time… Dirty show files are full of clutter and mismanaged data. If two fixtures get cloned to 12 fixtures, then a single hard value will be multiplied by six. If you are preparing to clone your show, please take time to open a tracking sheet and repair any raw values before the clone. This will save you time in the long run.

Stage Managers’ Association Foundation Announces Spring Grants

An arts organization and four individuals have been selected to receive  monetary  grants from the Stage Managers’ Association Foundation (SMAF) in the Foundation’s Spring 2024 grant cycle. A grant has been awarded to the Mosesian Center for the Arts (Watertown, MA), which sought funding to sustain and grow the Stage Manager Training program at Watertown Children’s Theatre. A Glimpse of the Winter Tour of Billy Strings

The PLSN April issue cover story looks at the design and production work on Billy Strings tour, featuring Lighting Designer Roger Gant, principal of RogerThat LLC; the production design, video content, and set extensions from the team at Lüz Studio.
