Touring Exhibition on Romanov Dynasty in Russia Includes RED Lighting Fixtures from Italy

MOSCOW – Fixtures from RED Lighting are illuminating a touring exhibition featuring information and imagery of Russia’s Romanov dynasty. The fixtures include Pixel Bar 4, Pixel Bar 8, Quadro C8 and the new mini Pixel Bar 16. The fixtures have helped the touring exhibition, which is traveling to Russia’s biggest cities, keep its energy requirements to a minimum.

Christmas Lighting Design for District in Paris Includes SGM LT-200 3D Fixtures

PARIS – For Berges de Seine, the riverfront district between the Pont de la Concorde and Passerelle de Solférino bridges (and also near the Musée d’Orsay), Mairie de Paris (Paris City Hall) organized a special Christmas lighting installation. The area, which tends to bustle with activity day and night, was lit from mid-December until the end of January with SGM’s LB-100 LED balls. SGM’s French distributor Sonoss worked closely with LightLab and Lumière et Son to create picture-perfect effects.

Tom Stoppard Play, “The Hard Problem,” Makes Use of SGM LT-200 Pixel Tubes

LONDON – SGM reports that 68 of its two-meter-long LT-200 tubes, most typically giving optic synapses a jolt from dance floor ceilings around the world, are being used by designer Bob Crowley as a key visual element in a new Tom Stoppard play, The Hard Problem, at the Dorfman Theatre, part of the National Theatre on London’s South Bank. The color-changing tubes are assembled in a light sculpture fashioned to represent flashes of cerebral activity within a larger-than-life brain as the characters wrestle with the “hard problem” – the nature of consciousness and how it is linked to the physical brain.

XL Video Supports National Television Awards for 11th Consecutive Year

LONDON – XL Video has supplied LED screens, projection screens, media servers and screen management for the National Television Awards 2015. The live ITV1 television broadcast show, produced by Indigo Television and hosted by Dermot O’Leary, took place at London’s O2 Arena. It included a tribute to Coronation Street star Anne Kirkbride, and a special recognition award for Doctor Who and Broadchurch actor, David Tennant.
