PHOENIX — Bill O’Neil, a freelance lighting designer based in the Phoenix area, died recently. His career in lighting spanned 34 years. O’Neil got his start in the business as a freelance lighting professional in Jan. 1980. From Dec. 1995 to Jan. 2008, he served as a lighting designer/director and project manager/technical director for Swank Audio Visuals. O’Neil had been working as a freelance lighting designer since Jan. 2008, working often with Precise Corporate Staging, among others.

LONDON — Luc Peumans from Belgian creative lighting design practice Painting With Light worked on the Music Hall Events arena production, Peter Pan, the Never Ending Story, with creative director Luc Petit and Music Hall’s Geert Allaert. The elaborate production recently finished its tour of the U.K. and will head to Dubai, UAE and Turkey later this year.
