BELGRADE, Serbia – Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” began recently in Belgrade, Serbia. Set designer LeRoy Bennett was at the helm of the show’s visual display, and Tait delivered a complete staging solution. The rolling mainstage includes a flaggapault lift, retractable dance bar, band risers, duck blinds, propane bars, pantograph stairs, Austrians, Kabukis, Sniffers and fanzone decking with custom handrails. Tait also crafted the framework for one of the key mainstage elements: a strobe and mirror structure made up of five alternating columns of strobes and automated mirrors intermixed with six light ladders.

Juno Awards Crew Member Injured in “Short Fall” from Stage

REGINA, Saskatchewan — A crew member working at the Brandt Centre here was taken by ambulance to Regina’s Pasqua Hospital after suffering unspecified injuries from a fall from the stage early Friday, April 19. The worker was part of the team preparing the venue for the 2013 Juno Awards, which included a gala dinner on April 20 and a televised ceremony with performances April 21.

Pete’s Big TVs Supplies Rock Hall of Fame Ceremonies

LOS ANGELES – Video equipment rental company Pete’s Big TVs supplied the high resolution LED video panels and a video tech crew for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, held April 18 in Los Angeles. The set, designed by Bruce Rodgers, featured a video wall of 387 digiLED MC7 LED video panels, which spanned the stage at 65 feet wide and 15 feet tall. The event airs on HBO in May.
