PRG’s Best Boy Shapes Lighting for Robbie Williams’ Concerts

LONDON —British pop star Robbie Williams performed at London’s O2 Arena for three nights of concerts Nov 22-Nov 24. The final night was broadcast across England’s Sky1 network. PRG supplied the lighting package, including its Best Boy 4000 Spot luminaire, for Creative Director Willie Williams and Set Designer Mark Fisher. Williams brought in LD Allen Branton to consult on the lighting for the televised show.

Design Productions Opens Retail Sales Division

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Design Productions, a full service lighting, drapery and AV company, recently opened its retail sales division for theatrical lighting and video products here. Company president Andy Tolar will also head the new sales division, with Corey Jackson serving as rental manager. Harman to Acquire Martin Professional

COPENHAGEN – Schouw & Co., parent company of Martin Professional, has entered into an agreement with the global infotainment and audio company Harman International Industries to sell Martin to Harman for EUR 110 million (currently $146 million in U.S. dollars). The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in Q1 2013.
