VILLAHERMOSA, Mexico – Hermes Music recently supplied PR Lighting’s PR8800 architectural fixtures to light up the facade of one of the Liverpool department store flagship sites in Villahermosa, in the state of Tabasco. Architectural firm Inaki Echeverria constructed the facade from segments of precast concrete slabs that rotate at 180° angles.

BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND – White Light helped launch the iconic Titanic Belfast building, a Titanic visitor experience which has been built on the site of the docks where the famous ship itself was constructed and launched 100 years ago. A 40-minute AV performance on the evening of April 7 featured projections mapped to the building’s surface, in sync with pyro. Titanic Belfast contains nine galleries that combine special effects, dark rides, full-scale reconstructions and more to explore the story of the Titanic from construction and launch to her infamous maiden voyage, the aftermath of her sinking and on to the discovery of the wreck.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY – Istanbul Sinan Erdem Arena has installed High End Systems products to add fanfare to its basketball games. Prior to showtime, 4 SHOWGUN 2.5s and 4 DL.3 Digital Lights pump up the crowds in the opening ceremonies, with a Road Hog Full Boar in control. Ultima Audio Visual Communication Services handled the install.

LONDON – S+H Technical Support provided their ShowLED RGB Chameleon Starcloth as a backdrop for the 2012 Olivier Awards, which honored excellence in theatre.  The annual event was staged in the main auditorium of the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden and broadcast live on the BBC’s Red Button.
