Bandit Lites Illuminates Black Music Honors

NASHVILLE – Bandit Lites provided the lighting for the third annual Black Music Honors, an evening paying tribute to trailblazing icons. Hosted by Rickey Smiley and LeToya Luckett at Nashville’s TPAC on Aug. 16, LD Mark Carver’s rig included nearly 200 fixtures including GLP X4S, Elation ACL 360 Bars, Chauvet Rogue RH1 Hybrids, Robe BMFLs, Claypaky B-Eye K20 and Bandit’s GRNLite moving washes.

Robert Juliat SpotMe Followspot Tracking System

The SpotMe from Robert Juliat is the company’s custom 3D tracking system for followspots. It will be featured at PLASA along with other new products, including two new fixtures to Robert Juliet’s Dalis range. Paired with RJ’s Oz 600W LED long-throw followspot, the SpotMe demos will show how its advanced algorithms and calibration can interpret information sent from its onboard sensors to communicate with any PosiStageNet console, and then coordinate the identical movements of other fixtures in the rig – even conventional fixtures with no feedback capability.

San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre Updates Rig with Vari-Lite VLZ Spots and SL Beam Wash Fixtures

SAN FRANCISCO – The Warfield Theatre in downtown San Francisco, operated by Goldenvoice, has upgraded its stage lighting with Philips Vari-Lite VLZ Spots and SL Beam 500fx and 300fx wash fixtures from Signify’s Showline range. Venue lighting director Rob Robertson credits the new rig for a “drastic” decrease in power consumption.
