LONDON – LD Richard Lambert turned to Entec Sound & Light for he Jazz Dance Company’s recent U.K. tour, “Unexpected Tales” for an assist. While Lambert provided his Zero 88 ORB XF control desk and a few fixtures including Chauvet Intimidator LED spots and GLP Atoms through his own business, Lambco, Entec supplied the power and data distribution, 11 Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 300s, 10 Martin MAC 700 Wash lights and eight overhead scaff bars.

Two New ESTA Standards Published, Two Drafts in Public Review

NEW YORK — ESTA noted that two new standards were approved by ANSI and published in early August. They involve the design, installation and use of orchestra pit lifts and overhead mounting of luminaires and lighting accessories. ESTA also posted new standards for public review involving manually operated hoist rigging systems and, separately, recommended guidelines for entertainment rigging system inspections.

Russian LD Alexey Zhivanov used six MH 3 Beams and six MH 4 Beams, along with three Atomic 3000 DMX strobes to provide lighting effects. INGOLSTADT, Germany — Maxin10sity, a projection mapping design firm based in Budapest, Hungary, recently completed two major projects for Audi to mark the launch of their newest models. Commissioned by technical planning and show direction specialist Niyu, Maxin10sity used projection mapping techniques for Audi’s Late Light Show – an event for Audi employees and the community surrounding the company’s Ingolstadt, Germany headquarters. The show ran every evening over six days from May 25-30.

Knight of Illumination Awards 2016 Theatre Shortlist Announced

LONDON – The Knight of Illumination Awards (KOI) Theatre judging panel has announced its shortlist for this year’s ceremony, which will take place at London’s Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith on Sept. 18. Now in its ninth year, the KOI Awards honor international lighting and digital content designers working in the UK for projects involving TV, theatre and concert touring and events.
