LOS ANGELES – For a well-received production of Madame Butterfly that was staged at the 3,000-plus capacity Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at Los Angeles this spring, lighting designer Rick Fisher used GLP’s impression X4 Bar 20 battens. Fisher had lit the same opera before, in 2010, at the Santa Fe Opera. The Los Angeles production, however, was in a significantly bigger venue. The fixtures helped him scale up the production to meet the needs of the larger space.

London Mayor’s Office Lit with Chauvet Professional Rogue Fixtures

LONDON – Leading up to the historic election that would choose Sadiq Khan, London’s first Muslim mayor, SXS Events used 16 Rogue R2 Washes to illuminate the London Mayor’s office, located near the Thames and Tower Bridge. The RGBW LED fixtures were used to wash the entire edifice and draw attention to an HD-projected image displaying the words: “5 May: Have your say.” Khan assumed office May 8.
