Clay Paky Scenius makes its Australian Debut at CMC Music Awards 2016 in Brisbane

BRISBANE, Australia – The CMC Music Awards 2016 were held at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), with some of the biggest names in country music including superstars Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line, Australia’s own Adam Harvey, and rising country star Kelsea Ballerini taking to the stage to perform. Mandylights were responsible for the production design, production management, stage management, lighting design and operation. Lighting gear came from Crystal Productions, Resolution X and Mandylights themselves. The event was the first time Scenius, Clay Paky’s moving head spotlight, was used in Australia as Crystal Productions had received fourteen a few days prior.

GLP GT-1 Hybrid Fixture

GLP plans to launch its new GT-1 hybrid fixture at Prolight + Sound 2016 in Frankfurt, Germany during the show, April 5-8, at booth 4.0. G19. The fixture is designed to work as a Spot, Beam and Wash fixture. Features include a high powered 470W discharge lamp and an optical system designed to produce a beam with a 22:1 ratio zoom range, from 2.5° to 55°. In Spot mode the fixture offers a wide range of effects, including CMY color mixing, eight rotating gobos, 14 fixed pattern gobos, additional beam reduction gobos and an interchangeable animation wheel. It also features three different rotating prisms, a fixed color wheel with CTO/CTB filters and a wash effect for softening the beam. In Beam mode the GT-1 delivers a powerful parallel beam of light at 2.5° through its large 145° diameter front lens, which remains bright and consistent over long distances. As with other GLP fixtures, the GLP GT-1 Hybrid Fixture features a GLP trademark – its ‘baseless’ chassis design. The fixture also has inbuilt wireless DMX control, full 16-bit pan and tilt movement and full range dimming and shuttering capabilities. The fixture also features an in-built battery for fixture set-up, an auto-sensing power supply and a low weight of just 25kg.

The addition of amber and white LEDs allows for pastel hues and varied tones that cannot be achieved with RGB LEDs alone. It has a 25-degree beam angle and also comes with a removable diffuser that creates a 30-degree diffused beam angle. The Tuff Baby P-84 has 3-pin XLR DMX connectors and a weather seal screw type power connection. The fixture has a double mounting yoke for simple rigging or ground stacking. It is controlled via DMX 512, featuring 8 channels, audio trigger and master slave control options.

He was able to do both with a rig that updated the old-school PAR cans of yesterday with newer fixtures, including COLORado 1-Tri IP LED pars from Chauvet Professional.
