SALT LAKE CITY – Wenger and JR Clancy were on site at the USITT show in Salt Lake City March 17-19 to display some of their unique products. Custom staging, audience seating, variable acoustics and rigging solutions were demonstrated for the crowd on the show floor. One highlight was a new interface for J.R. University of Southern California’s Newman Hall Updates House Lighting with Ovation LED Fixtures

LOS ANGELES – For the refurbished lighting system within Alfred Newman Recital Hall on the USC campus, 4Wall installed 15 Chauvet Professional Ovation H-105WW LED fixtures. The fixtures were positioned in three straight rows of five units each in the black spaces between the three prominent white mason beams that run across the width of the audience area ceiling.

SANTA CLARA, CA.– Lighting designer Bob Barnhart, a veteran of Super Bowl Halftime Shows, chose Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20s and gold Sharpys (pictured here) to help light the hafltime show for Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 7.  A grandMA2 console controlled the pyro and media servers.  A.C.T Lighting, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Clay Paky and MA Lighting products in North America.

A Philips Platinum 11R 250W 7800 K lamp promises ample output, and the fixture offers eight rotating/ indexing and 12 static gobos. Elton John’s “All the Hits” World Tour Included Blackmagic Design Gear

SYDNEY – Sir Elton John’s “All the Hits” world tour traveled with a video setup that included Blackmagic Design’s Micro Studio Camera 4K (pictured here) and Video Assist. They were used for live video feeds and video introductions. Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini, UltraStudio Express and DaVinci Resolve Studio were also used for concert production on the tour, which wrapped up late last year in Sydney, Australia.

SALT LAKE CITY  – On the show floor at USITT, A.C.T Lighting made their first “Pledge-a-Product” donation to Behind the Scenes, reflecting proceeds from the sale of the dot2 Series of Lighting Control Solutions from MA Lighting. Brian Dowd, Vice President of Sales for A.C.T Lighting, presented a check for $5,000 to members of the Behind the Scenes Foundation Board of Directors. Rig for 2016 Al Burda Awards in Abu Dhabi Includes Robe Gear

ABU DHABI, UAE – Terry Miranda and Dubai-based Lighthouse Productions designed and supplied the set and lighting design for the 2016 Al Burda Islamic Art Awards staged at the Abu Dhabi National Theatre in the UAE. Nearly 100 Robe fixtures were used, including 16 Robin 300 Beams, 12 ColorWash 575 ATs, 12 MMX Spots, 24 PARFect 100s, 12 Pointes and 16 CycFX 8s. Lighthouse has invested in Robe gear since 2004 and currently owns a large inventory of products.

SALT LAKE CITY – On the show floor at USITT, Rosco Laboratories presented their eighth annual royalty check from the sales of Roscolux #359 Medium Violet to Behind the Scenes, the charity that assists entertainment technology professionals in need due to serious illness or injury. This year’s proceeds amounted to $3,200, bringing the total contribution since this program began to $21,548.
