Dubai-Based Matrix AVE Reaps Dividends from Robe Pointes Investment

DUBAI, UAE – Matrix AVE were the first technical solutions company in Dubai to invest in Robe’s Pointes shortly after the fixture’s launch last year, sourcing the fixtures via Robe’s Middle East operation headed by Elie Battah. Currently based in Dubai Investment Park (DIP1), Matrix AVE was founded 16 years ago by Rajesh Pereira and specializes in producing themed events. They also supply technical production for a number of other corporate events, conferences and social events.

Fourth Touring Career Workshop (TCW) Busiest Yet

NASHVILLE – More than doubling the registration total from its first year in 2011, the 2014 Touring Career Workshop (TCW), held in Nashville Nov. 24, was the busiest to date. In addition to a successful turnout for the event, led by LD/programmers Erik Parker and Chris Lisle (pictured here, L-R), TCW 2014 collected significant donations for their charitable partner, the Oasis Center, and presented the “Sammy Old Skool” Award, in memory of production professional Sam Harden.

READING, UK – St. Joseph’s College has recently refurbished its chapel with energy-efficient Philips Selecon PL LED light fixtures provided by Lancelyn Theatre Supplies. ROME — Italy’s rich heritage of film-making is marked by films from lauded directors including Federico Fellini, Michelangelo Antonioni, Franco Zeffirelli and many more. Rome’s new Cinecitta World visitor attraction is a theme park dedicated to Italian cinema Lighting for the 25 minute Enigma show — produced by FilmMaster and staged in a 1,200 capacity venue right in the center of the complex — has been designed by LD Giovanni Pinna, who specified a Robe moving light rig.
