TACOMA, WA — Billed as the “world’s largest paint party,” Life in Color raves have been drawing revelers since 2006, when the EDM-centric events were called Dayglow. The latest tour, Unleash, visits the Tacoma Dome here on May 17 and will feature headliners Steve Aoki, Adventure Club and Blasterjaxx. The light show crafted by technical director Collyns Stenzel and Duncan MacKinnon from Audio East features a variety of fixtures from Chauvet Professional.

TAMPA, FL — The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, a.k.a. the “Bollywood Oscars,” were staged at Raymond James Stadium here on April 26. LD Eugene O’Connor lit a performance space measuring 132 by 63 by 62 feet (WxDxH) with a rig that included 30 SGM XC-5 Color Strobe LED RGB fixtures, which helped outline the large stage.

The fixture features eight 10W “Hex” LEDs — six-color modules including red, green, blue, amber, white and UV diodes on a single chip. The unit measures 23 inches (584 mm) and comes with Neutrik powerCON input/output connectors and 3- and 5-pin DMX in/out for easy power and data daisy-chaining.
