LightParts is celebrating 10 years of business this year. Don Pugh and Robert Mokry (pictured here, L-R) founded the company in Jan. 2004 as a support center for High End Systems’ legacy products such as Intellabeam and Emulator. BREDA, The Netherlands — Rental house Looijmans Showequipment supplied Clay Paky Sharpys for a dance festival at the 2,500-capacity Chasse Theater here that featured Dutch DJs Funkerman and Gregor Salto. LD Joep van Oosterhout rigged 14 Sharpys to an electronic flybar system surrounding the DJ booth to give the indoor event an outdoor festival vibe.

London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks Gets Assist from Projection Studio

LONDON — Ross Ashton and the Projection Studio (TPS) worked as consultants to Jack Morton Worldwide, producers of the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display for the 10th consecutive year. TPS provided the large format video projections system, augmenting the visual component of a multi-sensory celebration that included color-changing LED wristbands, floating bubbles and clouds packing fruit-scented mist and edible banana-flavored confetti particles that dissolve in rain to limit cleanup requirements.

Video Windmill at ISE 2014 Incorporates tvONE CORIOmaster Processing

ERLANGER, KY — tvONE, a manufacturer of video and multimedia processing equipment based here, noted that its CORIOmaster mini will be an integral part of a “Real-Time Video Windmill” to be featured at ISE 2014 in Amsterdam Feb. 4-6.
