Robe Fixtures Chosen for “Un Minuto Per Vincere”

ROME —Italian TV lighting designer Massimo Castrichella chose Robe’s ROBIN DLS profile, LEDWash 1200 and LEDBeam 100 fixtures for the most recent round of Un Minuto Per Vincere (One Minute To Win) game shows. Based on the U.S. game show, Minute To Win It, the Italian version is now in its second season.

BRISTOL, U.K. — Blueprint Events, based here, which acquired a stock of SGM LED fixtures, has been using them for applications ranging from the electro tent at the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium to London’s Battersea Power Station (pictured here), which recently played host to Shine, Cancer Research UK’s full and half marathon nighttime walking events that raise funds for cancer research.

SYDNEY — The Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, a posthumous celebration of the artist’s oeuvre that combines his dancing and singing style along with Cirque du Soleil spectacle, made its first big splash in late 2011 and most of 2012 in the U.S. before moving on to Mexico City, Europe, Asia and Australia in late 2012 and 2013.

KASTELLAUN, Germany — Themed “A Time to Shine,” the 2013 edition of the two-day Nature One electronic music festival returned to the decommissioned Pydna U.S. military base here for the first weekend in August. WOLVERHAMPTON, U.K. — For No Saints’ 1,600-capacity nightclub, Faces, which opened here recently after a $1.19 million refurbishment of the space formerly occupied by Oceana, No Saints CEO Steve Thomas worked with SGM’s Peter Johansen and Cosmic Electronics on a new lighting design featuring SGM’s LED gear.

KENT, UK — Eclipse Presentations recently purchased a series of new ShowLED Animation Cloths which have been added to their rental inventory of stock of drapes and soft goods.

DEVON, U.K. — LD Richard Lambert lit Shadowlands, a production staged by the Unleashed Theatre Company at Buckfast Abbey’s Schiller Hall here, with a lighting rig that included Jack and Nick 600 Wash fixtures from D.T.S. Lighting. The production, directed by Jude Earnshaw, featured a set design by Roger Bloxham and Mark Cartier. It was produced in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of one of its main characters, the author and philosopher/theologian C.S. Lewis.
