HOOD RIVER, OR — The History Museum of Hood River County recently opened a gallery devoted to Luhr Jensen & Sons, the manufacturer of fishing gear that operated in the vicinity for nearly 75 years before it was acquired by Finland-based Rapala VMC Corp. in 2005. NEW YORK — LD Clifton Taylor lit the New York Philharmonic’s A Dancer’s Dream: Two Works by Stravinsky with a lighting rig that included Showline SL BAR 640, Philips Selecon PLCyc LED, Philips Vari-Lite VL3500 Spot, VL1000 ERS and VL5B Wash luminaires from Philips Entertainment Lighting. ZURICH, Switzerland — Drawing close to 950,000 people, the Zurich Street Parade 2013 featured nearly 200 DJs performing on 30 trucks and eight large-scale stages. Along with such headliners as Bob Sinclar, Westbam, Nicky Romero and NERVO, the event featured Laserworld AG’s laser shows from three stages. Laserworld used Wireless Solution Sweden’s W-DMX for its peripheral systems including smoke and haze machines.
