“Country Cares Concert” Raises $476,000 for AZ Firefighter Families

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ — Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry and other artists teamed up and raised a reported $476,000 with the “Country Cares Concert,” a benefit performance that took place here on July 22.  All proceeds are going to the United Phoenix Firefighters, for direct distribution to surviving family members of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots from the Prescott Fire Department who lost their lives fighting a wildfire near here on June 30, 2013.

Lighting Pros Nominated for Creative Arts Emmy Awards

LOS ANGELES – The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the list of nominees for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards at a July 18 ceremony held at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in the NoHo Arts District here on July 18. The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 8pm EDT/5pm PDT on CBS. The Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place the week before: on Sunday, Sept. 15.

NEW YORK – More than 30 IATSE Local One members passed the ETCP Rigger – Theatre examination in June, bringing the total number of certified riggers in Local One to 85.  The New York Local says it now has more ETCP Certified Technicians that any other in North America. The certified technicians include those working at major venues including those at Lincoln Center along with the Metropolitan Opera House and various TV studios.
