UEP Produces Chilfest to Celebrate 15 Years in Business

TRING, UK – The first music festival to be promoted by an industry technical production company – Chilfest by Universal Event Productions (UEP) – was declared a success. UEP’s Steve Butcher – who came up with the idea to celebrate the company’s 15th birthday – was “completely blown away” with the response and the outcome. They supplied sound, lighting and video equipment and design for the two-day show.

LONDON – London rental company Entec Sound & Light supplied a ‘specials’ package to LD Tony Austin for the latest tour by Portishead, which followed up on shows earlier in the year by the Bristol band. This most recent series of gigs culminated with their Friday night headline slot on The Other Stage at the 2013 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, a performance preceded by warm-up shows in Scandinavia and The Netherlands.
