LIVERPOOL, UK – UK rental specialist Adlib is supplying lighting, sound, rigging equipment and crew for the current Elvis Costello and The Imposters ‘Revolver’ UK and European tour. It’s the first time that the Liverpool based company has worked with Costello. There’s no formal set list in the show. Songs are chosen – enough to fill nearly three hours of performance – largely by audience members invited onstage to spin a giant wheel bearing different song titles, with a pool of more than 100 potential numbers.

BERLIN – ProSieben and SAT.1 has launched its new season of “The Voice of Germany,” a German talent show, recently broadcast from Studio Berlin Adlershof. The show is based on “The Voice” TV format, produced by Talpa Media and Schwartzkopff TV Productions. LD Manuel da Costa used about 300 moving lights, including 50 Clay Paky Sharpys and the new Elidy LED system made by the French manufacturer Chromlech, which Lightpower has recently begun distributing.
Read More »LAS VEGAS — Sarah Guyard-Guillot, 31, an aerial performer in Cirque du Soleil’s Ka at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, died June 29 after a fall during a battle scene late in the show. The production stopped after the accident and the show has been put on hold until further notice. Audience members said the performer fell more than 50 feet into the production’s pit, which is hidden from the audience’s view.
