Starlite Gears Up for 2013 Shows with grandMA2 Consoles

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Starlite Productions, which acquired 80 Sharpy fixtures from Clay Paky last year, recently took delivery of new grandMA2 lighting consoles at the company’s 53,000-square-foot facility here. The company also expanded its audio inventory, including more than 60 Shure ULX-P wireless microphone systems in anticipation of the 2013 outdoor concert season.

Stage Technologies Supplies Overhead Automation for Pink

LONDON – For the third consecutive year, Stage Technologies is supplying the overhead automation for Pink’s The Truth About Love US and European tours. The show, directed by Baz Halpin, incorporates aerial performances during a number of tracks, including “Glitter in the Air,” in which the star is dipped into a small pool of water onstage before being drawn up again for acrobatics involving an aerial hammock.

FRANCE – OXO Light is lauching its LED Funstrip, an energy-saving LED version of its Funstrip batten. LED Funstrip replaces the traditional MR16 lamps of Funstrip with 10 x 9W warm white LED sources, each of which can be controlled individually. The long LED life (50,000 hours) means the lightsources are replaced less often, saving on material and labor costs, especially beneficial in fixed installations such as television studios or display lighting.
