High End Systems, AED Announce Distribution Partnership

AUSTIN, TX – High End Systems and AED group (Willebroek, Belgium) announce a new partnership that will enable AED Distribution to serve as a master distributor of High End Systems’ products throughout the UK, France and Benelux. Effective immediately, this agreement enables AED Master Distribution to make its large centralized stock available to other distributors and dealers. They will also have direct access to product knowledge, support as well as stock without having to deal with long manufacturing and/or handling and transport delays.

Pyro Implicated in Brazil Nightclub Fire, 237 Reported Killed

SANTA MARIA, Brazil — Authorities have detained four people in connection with a fire that ripped through the packed Kiss nightclub in this southern Brazil city in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 27, killing 237. A small pyro display is being implicated as the cause. Early reports suggest that some kind of pyro device ignited foam sound insulation material on the ceiling, and that a crowd of college-aged revelers stampeded and were suffocated within minutes by the resulting smoke and fumes.
