LONDON – Czech technical solutions Provider AV Media provided Robe moving lights and Anolis LED fixtures for the Czech House Pavilion at the Summer Olympics. With no air conditioning and summer temps in full bloom, low-emitting heat sources were needed for the venue, and the fixtures selected fit the bill, with the entire rig using only around 180 kW of power.

Southern Baptist Convention Soars with Elation Platinum Beams

NEW ORLEANS – The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) 2012 annual meeting, held in New Orleans last month, drew nearly 8,000 visitors to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. In the lighting rig were 60 Elation Professional Platinum Beam 5R units. The fixture was chosen because its high output and strong beam definition could cut through thick video wash lights, said Scott Renick of Dodd Technologies.
