Non-Compliant Stage Replaced at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS — One of five stages set up to entertain racing fans at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) during the Indianapolis 500 had to be replaced last week after safety inspectors deemed it non-compliant with Indiana’s new safety regulations, which were drafted in response to last summer’s deadly stage collapse at the Indianapolis State Fair.
