NASHVILLE — Mark Grega, who launched pyro and special effects company Strictly FX with co-founder Ted Maccabee in 1996, died Jan. 13. He was 53. Strictly FX recalled Grega as “a visionary and innovative leader in live special effects,” noting that, under his leadership, they have provided effects for six Super Bowl halftime shows, won nine Parnelli Awards and supported legendary bands including Pink Floyd, Roger Waters and David Gilmour.
