In Memoriam: ETC Co-Founder and CEO Fred Foster, 61

MIDDLETON, WI – Fred Foster, ETC co-founder and CEO, died Feb. 8 at age 61. He had been fighting cancer since 2015. At ETC, Foster is remembered as a visionary, an innovator, and a role model, the basis for a company culture renowned as being people-focused and friendly. “His ideas were big, and his heart bigger,” the company noted, in a statement.

Visuals Seen on ‘X Factor Malta’ Finals Driven by Avolites Arena Console

MALTA – The X Factor talent TV competition franchise landed on the Mediterranean island nation of Malta for its first-ever season at the end of 2018, culminating in a live final to find the country’s Eurovision 2019 entrant. LD Ismael Portelli worked with programmers Duminku Attard and Juan Vella on the project. Anton Borg Olivier joined the team for the finals, using an Avolites Arena as his master console to give the last rounds of the contest an “extra kick.”
