U2, Ed Sheeran Cancel St. Louis Shows Amid Civil Unrest and Fan Safety Concerns

ST. LOUIS – U2 and Ed Sheeran canceled shows planned in St. Louis on Sept. 16 and 17 a day after clashes took place between police and demonstrators objecting to the outcome of the Anthony Lamar Smith murder trial. A judge ruled Sept. 15 that former St. Louis police officer Jason Stockley, who shot and killed Smith through the driver-side door window after a high-speed case on Dec. 20, 2011, was not guilty of premeditated murder despite potentially incriminating remarks recorded during the chase.

LOCKN’s Terrapin Station Stage

SJP Productions Creates Forest of Light at LOCKN’ Festival with ChamSys

ARRINGTON, VA – “Magic is what we do, Music is how we do it,” Jerry Garcia once told an interviewer.  Had the Grateful Dead frontman been around to see the fantastical transformation of his namesake forest at the recent LOCKN’ Festival, he undoubtedly would have agreed that there can be quite a bit of magic involved in lighting too. S. Jeremy Peters turned the thickly wooded “Garcia’s Forest” around LOCKN’s Terrapin Station Stage (named after the Grateful Dead’s mystical 1977 album) into a transcendental canopy of color with 150 pixel-mapped IP65 par fixtures that he controlled with his ChamSys PC Wing and Playback Wing.
