Keith Wissmar, 1958-2017

In Memoriam: Keith Wissmar, 58

LOS ANGELES and SEATTLE – Keith Wissmar, LD for Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Neil Young, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Jack Johnson, and Gary Clark Jr., among others, died July 30 after a 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer. A private service was planned in Los Angeles. A memorial in Seattle is set for the Paramount Theater on Aug. 26 from 2-6 p.m.

Lotte World Tower in South Korea Lit with Martin Fixtures

SEOUL—Hansam System, Co., Ltd used Martin fixtures to light Lotte World Tower, South Korea’s tallest skyscraper and the fifth tallest building in the world. Featuring 123 floors, Lotte World Tower is home to a wide range of facilities and public spaces, including business offices, private residences, a luxury hotel, a mega mall, a cinema, an aquarium, a concert hall and a large observation deck. The building owners hired Hansam System, Co. and lighting consultants EOS SLD and Nikennomura to design an ambitious lighting solution that would visually enhance the architecture of the building’s roof, observatory ticketing area and grand ballroom.
