ANAHEIM, CA – The Winter NAMM show’s expansion into live events, which includes the recent announcement of the move of the Parnelli Awards to Anaheim on Jan. 26, 2018, continues with a new alliance forged between NAMM and ESTA that promises to add to the spectrum of NAMM’s educational offerings while also providing critical funding for ESTA’s ongoing Technical Standards and ETCP programs.

TEL AVIV, Israel – Light Architects Cochavi & Klein are known for their style and propensity for invention … and they are also really impressed with Robe’s Spiider LED wash beams! The leading designers seized the opportunity of the ‘Picnic Passover with Black Coffee’, a pumping electronic music event presented by The Tripping in Tel Aviv’s most famous urban oasis, Hayarkon Park, to utilise 48 Spiiders and 24 Robe Pointes on a circular trussing structure, forming a massive ‘sun’, which was winched above the crowds on a crane.

One Death Reported at 2017 Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Michael Morse, 34, was pronounced dead at 7:41 a.m. Saturday morning, June 17 at the Electric Daisy Carnival after the event’s first night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, according to local reports. The reported death, confirmed with the Clark County (NV) coroner’s office on June 19, did not list a cause, but reports from family members suggested heat may have been a factor.

LONDON – For Active Training Team (ATT), which produced an immersive training program depicting a (thankfully fictional) account of a worker’s death on a construction site for client Tideway, White Light provided a variety of visual technologies including d3 media servers. The idea is to present real workers with the fictional drama of a workplace accident in hopes of preventing actual tragedies in the workplace.

MANCHESTER, TN – The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival returned to the 700 acre field known affectionately as “The Farm” with more than 65,000 in attendance in search of good vibes and great music. Bandit Lites was asked by Lambda Productions to provide a lighting package for multiple stages along with the iconic Tower at Bonnaroo and several floor packages for artists in attendance.
