FREMONT, CA – American indie folk band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes performed as part of the recent “Sound in Focus” event in LA. Blackmagic Design announced that Santa Monica production company Subtractive Inc. used ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K, ATEM 1 M/E Broadcast Panel and HyperDeck Studio 12G broadcast recorders as part of a live streaming and IMAG setup for a recent Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros concert at Century Park in Los Angeles.

Polymus Agency, in charge of organizing the event, entrusted the audiovisual design of the venue to PRO4MEDIA, a prominent service provider for AV technology. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Dierks Bentley was up at dawn to kick off the morning of the 50th Annual CMA Awards with a live performance on the streets of Nashville with Good Morning America. NEW YORK – The elegantly appointed Grand Ballroom at the Waldorf Astoria is impressive. Its 44’ high ceiling, custom made 16’ diameter chandelier and ornate carved balconies provide a dramatic setting for any event. To stand out against this backdrop, a stage presentation has to be as bold and dramatic as the ballroom itself. Chris Hubbard and his team at Emergency Production provided just such a presentation recently for buildOn, a global charity, with help from 117 PVP S7 panels from CHAUVET Professional.
EUROPE – Adlib renewed its excellent and long term working relationship with Grammy nominated US rock band Panic! at The Disco, providing sound, video and lighting production, plus crew for their recent UK and European tours. Once again Tony Marino was at the helm as the highly-respected tour manager. The band released their fifth studio album, ‘Death of a Bachelor’ in January 2016 and have had a mega busy year.
IRVINE, CA — For Blink-182’s 2016 return to the road, in support of the band’s mid-2016 album release, California, the production design by Dominic Smith from Neon Black featured 40 BMFL Blades supplied by VER. Twelve of the BMFL Blades are used as key lights on the front of the band, and the rest as high-impact back lighting and effects.

BOSTON – There was no shortage of star power on stage at Boston’s House of Blues on Monday December 5, as the legendary venue, hosted Electric Bounce House. The 2,500 capacity concert hall welcomed an Electric Bounce House lineup of artists who often would be playing at an arena or amphitheater. Opening the evening was Grammy-nominated teenage sensation Daya. As the evening progressed, the music grew electronic with the progressive house dance group Cash Cash, followed by Grammy-nominated The Chainsmokers.

USA – My Morning Jacket (MMJ) founder and front man Jim James embarked on a solo tour this fall, opening on the West Coast and closing Dec. 18 at Iron City, Birmingham, Alabama. Veteran MMJ Designer Marc Janowitz conceived a “forest” of 57 Solaris Mozarts as a main design feature for the tour. “The Mozarts are used as stand-alone fixtures,” explains Janowitz, “each one mounted at the end of goosenecks, LP claws, mic stand boom arms, and other lightweight audio accessories.”
