SAN FRANCISCO — Less than a week after the son of a Cirque du Soleil founder died from a head injury in a backstage lift accident prior to the Nov. 29 production of Luzia in San Francisco, a cluttered warehouse used for a rave event in Oakland lost power and caught fire on Dec. 2, trapping dozens of revelers, many on an elevated loft platform that lacked a reliable stairwell or exit.

Po-Yang is a Taiwanese native fresh from The University of Texas at Austin, where he received his MFA in Lighting Design. In school, he lit a variety of performance styles ranging from drama to dance to musical comedy. Prior to joining Available Light, Po-Yang served as Resident Lighting Designer at Michigan’s Thunder Bay Theatre Company.

NASHVILLE – Since 1970, the GMA Dove Awards has honored excellence in the Christian Music industry. At the 47th Annual GMA Dove Awards, event producer and production designer Scott DeVos of DeLux Productions was brought on board to help accentuate that diversity. Wanting LED video to play an integral role in the design, DeVos needed a provider with a myriad of technologies to fill the design, so he reached out to Nashville-based Elite Multimedia.
