Judges for the 2015 Rose Brand/USITT Action Design Competition Announced

CINCINNATI, OH – The fourth Rose Brand/USITT Action Design Competition at the USITT Conference & Stage Expo is only a few days away. Student designers from around the country will work to create the best scenic environment possible given limited supplies, limited time to design, and limited time to get to know their teammates. This year’s expert panel of judges includes (pictured here, clockwise from top left) Jane Greenwood, Douglas Schmidt, Teresa Eyring and Terrence Spivey.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – LD Jason Ayala of ProSho Inc. (Staten Island, NY) provided a design for the annual pre-spring break party at Rider University with an array of fixtures that included 48 PVP S5 LED panels and Q-Wash 419Z-LED RGBW moving washes from Chauvet Professional.

CINCINNATI – USITT’s 55th Annual Conference & Stage Expo, set for March 18-21, is expected to draw more than 5,000 entertainment technology professionals to the Duke Energy Convention Center with more than 280 exhibitors demonstrating lights, audio, special effects, automation, flying technology, costumes and makeup. The event also features more than 275 educational sessions and activities and recently expanded with even more attractions added to the already-packed schedule of events.

KNOXVILLE, TN — Limelite Design Service created a pixel-map-capable house lighting system for Kingston Ballroom at Bridgewater Place that uses elektraLite LED fixtures for special events.

NASHVILLE, TN – Barry Manilow has taken to the stage for his “One Last Time Tour” with Bandit Lites providing the lighting. LD Seth Jackson specified a rig that pairs Robe BFMLs with Clay Paky B-Eye K20s for spot and wash effects.
