Belgian Pop Group’s Year-End Shows Get Visual Support from Painting With Light

NEW YORK — Prominent TV lighting director Carl Vitelli, Jr., 81, died Jan. 7, 2015. A recipient of IATSE Local One Honorary Gold Card in 2011 (pictured here), Vitelli was also inducted into the Emmy Awards’ New York Chapter Silver Circle in 2001.

The Newport Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Oregon has recently installed a Meyer Sound Constellation® acoustic system in its 398-seat Alice Silverman Theatre. With the upgrade, the venue joins the likes of Moscow’s Svetlanov Hall, The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and more than 50 other prestigious venues that rely on the variable acoustics of Constellation to deliver an extraordinary live experience.

MIDDLETON, WI – On November 16th, 2014, the walls of St. Margaret’s church in Munich, Germany, reverberated with “eternal light,” or Lux Aeterna. Organized by Christian Bischof, organist and choir director for St. Margaret’s, the event featured music from Claude Debussy, Morten Lauridsen, and Gabriel Fauré, and was accompanied by a modern light show controlled by ETC’s Congo Kid® lighting desk.

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – Lighting designer Jonathan Lipsy of Integrated Solutions Group is accustomed to dealing with challenges on projects, but even he acknowledges that the video production studio he recently completed for EMC Corporation was “out of the ordinary.”  EMC, the world’s largest provider of data storage with 60,000 employees, asked Lipsy to create a free-standing production studio on its campus.
