DOHA, Qatar – LD Milad Masaad used more than 300 Robe fixtures to light the 2014 Adha Festival staged at the Souq Waqef here. The rig, lighting a stage structure assembled for the festival, included an overhead rig with 40 Pointes, 30 LEDBeam 100s, 24 LEDWash 600s, 12 LEDWash 1200s and 22 REDWash 3?192s and a floor package with 11 MMX Spots, 16 ColorBeam 2500E ATs and another 60 LEDForce 18s.

Australia’s “Footy Show” Martin-Centered Rig Includes MAC Quantum Washes

SYDNEY — For the Nine Network’s Footy Show, a TV sports program covering pro rugby games, lighting supervisor Andrew Veitch works to ensure that there are no visual fumbles on the set. For the NRL Grand Final Footy Show, he was also able to use 32 new MAC Quantum Wash fixtures along with 52 Martin MAC Viper Profiles and more than 100 Martin MAC101s to light the show. AT&T Offering Free Wi-Fi Access Along Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS — Visitors to Las Vegas during LDI later this month might not be guaranteed a big payout at the casinos south of the Las Vegas Convention Center, but if they are also AT&T customers, they are guaranteed to break even on their fees for Wi-Fi usage along most of the Las Vegas Strip. NanoLumens and PartnerTech to Install Large Scale LED Video Screens in Canadian Shopping Malls

ATLANTA — NanoLumens and PartnerTech, both based in the Atlanta area, are teaming up to provide more than a dozen large-format LED screens (20 to 27 feet wide) for malls across Canada.  NanoLumens president/CEO Rick Cope noted that the two companies have teamed up before to help get large screens installed in other places including NBA basketball arenas, train stations, convention centers and more.
