USITT 365 App Targets an Industry On the Go

FORT WORTH, TX – The popularity of the app that USITT created for its annual Conference & Stage Expo, held here in late March, has led to the creation of an app that can be used by USITT members year-round. “When we had more than 4,000 downloads from people wanting up to date information about our Conference, we knew we had to find a way to make that happen year-round,” said David Grindle, USITT executive director. USITT 365 is available for most mobile technologies, from iPads to Androids, and is available from links at the association’s website.

LOS ANGELES – Microsoft’s press conference for its Xbox offerings at the E3 video gaming convention, held at the Galen Center here shortly before the convention got underway, featured 136 Elation ELAR Q1 color changing Par light fixtures. The ELAR Q1s were used to enhance the set from two locations, the first a grid of 100 fixtures directly behind the Xbox logo, covering most of the upstage scenic; and the other on the set’s traveling scenic walls, where 36 fixtures were used to create accents and wisps of green highlights on the set structure.

Rolling Stones’ 14 On Fire Tour Rig Includes Robe Pointes

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – LD Patrick Woodroffe included 54 Robe ROBIN Pointes in the lighting design for The Rolling Stones’ 14 On Fire tour. They were located on 12 sections of HUD truss running upstage and downstage on both sides of the massive stage. The band wrapped the European leg of their tour earlier this month with performances at Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena and the Orange Canopy Stage at the Roskilde Festival.
