The First Night Riders Charity Motorbike and Classic Car Event Revs up for 2014

This year marks the fifth year for the First Night Riders charity motorbike tour which raises money for The Theatrical Guild. Established in 1891, TTG is dedicated to looking after theatre personnel who, due to a variety of circumstances, need educational sponsorship, counselling, or welfare advice, in order for them to regain employment in the theatre industry. This year’s tour takes place June 20-23.

NAB 2014 Show Attendance Surpasses 98,000

LAS VEGAS — The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) reported that total registered attendance for the 2014 NAB Show was 98,015, an uptick of more than four percent from 2013. Exhibit space was also up more than seven percent from the previous year, with the event comprising 1,746 exhibiting companies spanning 945,000 net square feet of exhibit space.

WorldStage Provides Gear for NBC’s Revamped Tonight Show, Late Night Studios

NEW YORKThe Tonight Show got a new Manhattan address as well a new man behind the desk earlier this year. To prepare for the show’s cross-county move to New York, LD Fred Bock created a new look in NBC’s upgraded Studio 6B in Rockefeller Center.  WorldStage supported Bock’s design with an extensive studio and band lighting package, and also handled the sale and rental lighting packages for the new Late Night with Seth Meyers in NBC’s Studio 8G.

GERMANY – In the four decades since its founding, Circus Roncalli has always been committed to maintaining the classical circus tradition. And as the circus has grown over the years, so too has it lighting needs.
