Strictly FX Adds Sparks to Beyonce’s Tour
CHICAGO – Strictly FX of Chicago is supplying special effects for Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour,” after having worked with her during her Super Bowl Halftime show earlier this year. “Beyoncé is very hands on with every aspect of her production and was an intricate part of the design process. She knows what she wants and knows what she doesn’t like. It was a truly a collaborative effort with her team that helped us bring her production to another level,” says Strictly FX partner and effects designer Mark Grega.

WESTLAKE, TX – The PLASA Control Protocols Plugfest, the event where manufacturers and developers can test their products for interoperability with other manufacturer’s products, is scheduled to take place Aug. 2-5 at the DFW Marriott Solana in Westlake, TX. A few implementations are expected of the draft standard for RDMnet, BSR E1.33, as the task group continues its work on the latest protocol being developed by the Controls Protocol Working Group of the PLASA Technical Standards Program. LONDON — Mark Fisher, founder and managing director of Stufish, died June 25 after a long illness at Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead, U.K. with his wife Cristina at his side. He was 66. Fisher played a key role in the creation of some of the most complex and successful stadium rock shows ever produced, for artists ranging from Pink Floyd to U2 to the Rolling Stones and many others.
