Full Compass’ Susan Lipp Honored by WWIG

MADISON, WI — Full Compass owner Susan Lipp was honored by Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG) with their Woman of Achievement Award.  Lipp was one of four women chosen statewide, earning recognition for her role in creating the fourth-largest woman-owned business in Wisconsin and for leadership of many non-profit and charitable organizations.

Eurovision Setup Includes 11 Consoles for Lighting, Video

MALMO, Sweden — The 58th annual Eurovision Song Contest featured top singers from 39 countries competing at Malmo Arena here May 14-16 before the finals were broadcast live to the world May 18. Ola Melzig served as technical director, overseeing lighting, sound, staging, rigging, automation, LED, projection and pyro. Eleven grandMA2 light consoles and 22 media servers controlled the extensive video elements and lighting rig, which included close to 1,400 fixtures.

PAL Show Returns to Toronto for 2013

TORONTO – The Music Industries Association of Canada (MIAC) has announced the preliminary details for the 12th annual PAL Show. This year’s show will take place Sept. 8-9, 2013, at the International Centre in Toronto. Exhibits will feature the latest in recording, live sound, broadcast, contracting, video and lighting products and services. Both show days will feature educational seminars as well as networking events, industry approved training programs, show specials and live demonstrations.
