LONDON – XL Video UK is supporting the Humbug tour for U.K. indie rockers The Arctic Monkeys, but not in the usual sense. Instead of center-stage I-Mag and moving beam effects, there are no moving lights, and the video plays more of a supporting role, framing the pulsing-but-static light show.

ABU DHABI, U.A.E. – "Yasalam", the Arabic word for "fantastic, amazing and astonishing" was the name for a Formula 1 Grand Prix last year, which included four nights of post-race concerts featuring Beyoncé, Aerosmith, Jamiroquai, and Kings of Leon. The shows were lit by more than 100 Clay Paky fixtures.

LONDON – After seeing them in use at last summer's Isle of Wight Festival, LD Andy Hurst was impressed enough with the brightness, response speed and versatility of GLP's Impressions to add the moving LED light fixtures into the U.K. touring rig for Prodigy, the techno band fronted by Keith Flint.

QINGDAO, China – The center that was designed for Olympic sailing events at the southern tip of China's Shandong Peninsula for the 2008 summer games has gotten a second wind as the national Training Centre for Aquatic Sports. It's also home to the annual 10-day Qingdao Sea Culture Festival and the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center Grand Theater, which has been equipped with four Robert Juliat Aramis 2500W HMI followspots.
